With its wide range of information, especially its innovative funding database, the portal serves as information provider between those looking for funding and founders in the field of arts & culture. The project was initiated by Kulturstiftung der Länder,Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen and Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie. From 2007 onwards the DIZK will inform about funding projects in other European states in the same manner.

Büro Kopernikus
an initiative of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation). From 2004 to 2006 we carried out 22 German-Polish cultural projects that took place in both countries. After three successful years we will close our doors at the end of 2006. But Büro Kopernikus will continue to be accessible online – in the form of our online publication BüroKopernican Turn, which provides information on the projects, further readings, and a huge database with artists and institutions in both countries.
